Easy Modern Florals For Your Home

I have written before about adding greenery to a space and how much I love bringing a touch of the outdoors in. I am loving the trend of green being the main color and focus of floral arrangements in home design. Sometimes green is all you need..it’s pure and adds just the right amount of color. I love using tropical clippings from my yard to create a dramatic look. I also love the use of indigenous greens in a home, there is an authenticity to it. But wild flowers with an English flair are my second favorite (stay tuned in a separate post for the inspiring peony, hydrangea and English rose!) One of my most difficult tasks for my clients is creating floral arrangements that work in a modern setting. My rule of thumb: keep it simple, use architecturally interesting greens that can stand on their own.

Succulents are a very cool tabletop plant. And displaying a collection of greens is simple and easy. Keep all vases similar in a collection but varying in height and width. I love using ceramic pottery in light colors to display gorgeous greens or plants. Sometimes I like to see the stems in a clear container and sometimes I like to conceal them. All depends on my mood:)

Here is a roundup of some of my favorite examples of modern florals based in greens:
